Clicking on the Encrypt button takes the password, encrypts it and clears the original clear text. On a normal form post submit, only the name and the encrypted password are sent.

The PdxHTML library method EncryptPassword also will produce identical results as the JavaScript in this form. You can receive the logon name and encrypted password and either use the EncryptPassword method to generate an encrypted key for comparison or preferrably, store the passwords encrypted and do a straight string compare.
